Ziggy
Founder of Homsy
Zigmārs Dzērve
I'm Ziggy. I built Homsy — chores, shopping, bills and the family calendar in one shared household space — and I write the guides and app comparisons published on this site: 138 articles across 6 topics, plus 28 free tools.
I'm a developer and a founder, not a family or finance professional. What I write comes from building Homsy and from the questions people bring to it: which chores land on whom, how a shared list stays shared, how one calendar holds a household's different weeks. Where I don't know, I say so rather than dress a guess as advice.
The comparisons name prices and features for other apps. Each of those is read off that app's own store page or pricing page on the date the article names, and the date stays on the page so you can tell how fresh the reading is. When a figure moves, the article is updated and the date moves with it.
How I work
- Store pages first. Another app's price or feature comes from its own listing or pricing page, read on a named date — not from another blog.
- Dates on the page. Every comparison says when it was checked, so a stale figure reads as stale rather than as fact.
- Homsy's own limits, stated. Where an article talks about Homsy's free plan, the caps it names are the ones the app enforces.
- Corrections welcome. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell me and I'll fix it and move the date.
What Homsy is
Homsy is a household organizer for families, couples and roommates: chores, shopping lists, bills and the family calendar in one shared space, on iPhone, Android and the web. Everyone in the home sees the same lists and the same week.
