# Homsy

> Homsy is a household management app for iOS, Android and the web. It gives families, couples and roommates one shared space for chores, tasks, shopping lists, the calendar, utilities and trash days — so the household runs on one picture instead of five, and no single person has to hold it all in their head.

## What Homsy does

- **Tasks and projects**: tasks with subtasks, priorities, due dates and assignees, grouped into projects.
- **Chores**: daily, weekly or monthly schedules with a named owner, automatic rotation between household members, and a completion record.
- **Shared shopping lists**: real-time collaborative lists, with scheduled shopping trips. Items carry a quantity and a unit and are ordered by hand — there is no aisle/category grouping.
- **Meal planning**: a week of meals, and one action that turns the planned recipes into shopping-list items.
- **Household calendar**: per-member color coding, week and agenda views, and Google Calendar import (Homsy Pro).
- **Utility tracking**: electricity, water and gas consumption charted over time.
- **Trash collection schedule**: reminders for general waste, paper, plastic, glass and bio pickup days.
- **Moments**: countdowns and important dates for the household.
- **Whiteboard**: shared notes and announcements visible to everyone in the household.
- **Multi-household**: one account can belong to more than one household — a co-parenting arrangement and a home, for example.

Not in Homsy: family messaging and location sharing. Neither is planned. The shopping list has no aisle categories.

- Offline-first: data is stored on the device and syncs when a connection returns.
- Real-time sync between every member of a household.
- Available in 26 languages.
- Available on iOS, Android and the web.
- Privacy-focused: no data sold to advertisers.

## Pricing

There is no free trial, and there never has been. The free tier is not time-limited.

- **Free**: every feature, no ads, for a household of up to 2 active members. Account-less members count toward that limit.
- **Homsy Pro**: needed for a household of 3 or more members, and to be the admin of a second household. Sold through the App Store and Google Play; check the store listing for the current price in your currency.
